Buzz,

PCMCIA adapter:

Look on your desktop for a new drive icon (this usually happens with a MAC, but I have also seen it with IBM laptops) or look under "My Computer" and see if it lists a new drive letter assigned to the card.

I have recommended before that there be an audible that sounds when the card is inserted and recognized. The best audible would be a SanDisk jingle. I would be happy to write one if they would pay me for the idea and the composition.

NBC used a peacock to promote its color transmissions. NBC was also heavily supported by General Electric Company. If you play "G" "E" "C" on the piano that is the NBC jingle.

The new ImageMates actually put the red SanDisk logo next to the drive letter for easy identification.

It is these simple things that make life easier for end-users like us.
