There an article in the latest Economist which notes the connection between the money supply and the current market outlook "Bulls, Bears and Greenspan" economist.com I particularly liked this quote: "Goldman’s Ms Cohen reckons that “since April, individual share-price performance has been mainly driven by fundamental factors, such as earnings momentum and relative valuation, rather than prior share-price momentum.” (Absolute valuation—a quaint, old-fashioned idea—is yet to stage a comeback, apparently.) "
