The best defense against this sort of price manipulation is patience. Whoever is monkeying around with SSII and other BG companies wants to make money; to buy shares cheaply from existing shareholders afraid to hold a loser, then get the price back up to make a profit. Personally, I plan to sit on my thousand shares as long as it takes for the momentum to change. The opportunity cost of holding the shares is very, very low. Then we benefit from the price runup which the MM's must eventually bring about to make their profits. I don't mind waiting months for a double or triple to come along.

Just idle speculation, but the only downside I see is de-listing, which would be telegraphed far, far in advance.

And watching SSII's kind of fun. Hang in there.
