What? Then I suggest you read it again. All the IS-95 channels are covered by CDMA2000, either in Common control channels or in the dedicate channels. Basestation can certainly understand what the MS is talking about.

It doesn't need to, you can do HDR in two ways, either stand alone or part of the networks. It is for data only. Insert a card in BS which also going through the internet and here you go. Just give me another 1.25Mhz.

Man you are reading that UWCC crap too serious. HDR is using TDM, not TDMA on the forward link. It used time divisioned scheduling as for who will get the data. It has nothing to do with TDMA or its signal. It is still using CDMA ways, i.e. spread spectrum, coding etc. TDM is a generic term, means sharing the medium. It's a concept for zillion years. TDM doesn't equal to TDMA, get that fact straight my friend. |
