All the major networking standards including GSM-MAP are being replaced with Internet standards. So, if you exclude the air interface changes, all networks will probably have to go through similar upgrades. I hope you're right about the rules for 3G in Europe. If WCDMA is not a mandate, then I'm willing to bet that we'll see CDMA2000 (or some variation of it) in Europe next year. MicroE
