Why did Iomega go up today? IMHO Becouse the agreement with NEC and Iomega. This is one good reason becouse rember there are bewteen 70 and 100 million computers sold in the world a year. This number is growing around 17-20 %/year. Iomega has a current production capacity of about 10 1/2 mil drives/yr. So to make Zip the standard there need's to be a lot more Zip's made a year than Iomega can make at this time. Also rember the Zip disks are whare the BIG profits are and Iomega get's all that business. So at Iomegas last press release about Zip drives produiced they said 5 mil. I think today it's someplace around 6.4 mil. With NEC gitting ready to bang out Zip drives that growth can really go up fast. Rember at the stockholders meeting Iomega was at production capacity. Also rember improvments that NEC may make with Zip Drives become Iomega property. Also this gives Iomega some room for things like LAP TOP ZIP anytime and N Hand latter this year. Just think about some machine menting Zip Disks at full capacity... Hay whipping boy how do you spell chic ching? Lap Top Zip anytime Tic tic tic lap top zip tic tic tic lap top zip tic tic tic I think another good reason for Iomega stock to go up is; People may be aware of just how short a time is left untell the Lap top Zip comes out. People may understand that this New product will add new demand for Iomega's stuff in that Iomega allready has OEM's (Original Equipment Makers)waiting for the Lap Top Zip. Being able to transfer stuff via Zip with lap top and desk top ....Big positive. IMHO the lap top Zip is really important in making Zip standard. So what's this got to do with Iomega's stock price going up today.. Sipmle I think as times get's closer to Lap top Zip comming out fewer people are willing to attempt to day trade the stock as there is an ever increasing chance the will miss the rocket when it takes off. Also I think demand for the stock will increase as time gets closer. I see no reason to sell. Next reason for the stock to go up today is to well I can't give it all away can I.. You guess? Bob
