Without risk ...

$38 1/3 ?

I expected a turnaround in this stock ... but not a 360 degree turnaround.

Their conclusion is worth repeating ...

Investment Conclusion
Our long-term investment thesis on Informix remains: the
company has the opportunity to achieve rapid growth as a
provider of database-driven e-business infrastructure and of BI software. Revenues from its mature database business
should be able to achieve low double-digit growth (equal to
that of the industry as a whole) and provide the cash
necessary to fund the development of new products for high-
growth markets. The outstanding risk to this story was, and
is, execution.

The value that is inherent in the various segments of
business at Informix needs to be unlocked and the company
needs to function efficiently as a fully integrated whole.
Informix needs to become more than the sum of its parts -
which we project are worth about $23 per share. We think
Peter Gyenes - the newly appointed CEO with a good track
record in turning around Ardent and readying the company for sale - will likely organize and refocus Informix over the course of this year and set the company on solid ground for future growth.

Thanks for the post. It makes perfect sense to this long suffering thread.

Best of luck.
