Gents,
I can't really comment on KR Precision other then to share with you that Tom's post on their re-capitalization by Prudential Asset Management Asia (PAMA) is accurate. As a result of this capitalization they are virtually debt free. PAMA holds roughly 40% of the stock and is well represented on their board. The company has recently (March) added industry veteran Jim Steger to the post of Chief Executive Officer. Steger is the guy who ran (sequentially of course) WD Asia and Maxtor Asia. His knowledge and capabilities in the disk drive business is a matter of record.

Additionally they are indeed the source of the suspension for INVX's "FSA" (Flex Suspension Assy) to Seagate which is substantially more cost effective then the HTCH TSA. In addition they also supply a TSA compatible to QNTM, having developed processes to deliver both types of products.

You may visit their web site at krprecision.com for the latest news releases though the company has not had that many of late. While it is true that they will not take a booth in Diskcon they will be there in force in a hospitality suite.

I have no idea what the source of their rumored financial difficulty is (from Mark's news story) but KR Precision is as viable as any other troubled company in the DD supply chain IMO.

Best,
Stitch
