Anglogold: GOLD PRODUCTION IMPROVES BY 3% TO 1.8 MILLION OUNCES (Q1: 1.75 MILLION OUNCES) A 3% rise in a 7 miilion ounce producer covers (almost twice) a 3% drop in a 4 million ounce producer. Geita (Anglogold/Ashanti) is producing above target and might do 600,000 ounces for their next fiscal year. (300,000 for Anglogold)

Aurizon: Gold production for the second quarter was 16,072 ounces, an increase of 30% from the 12,379 ounces produced during the same period of 1999

Battle Mountain (6 months): 395,000 vs. 363,000, +8.8%

Cambior: Gold production increased by 6.5 % to 158,300 ounces for the quarter from 148,600 ounces in the same period last year,

Echo Bay: Total gold production for the quarter was 188,475 ounces, 51 percent higher than 1999 second quarter production of 125,056 ounces. (that easily covers HM drop) Silver production from McCoy/Cove was 3.6 million ounces, 87 percent higher than the 1.9 million ounces produced in 1999.

Meridian: Record gold production of 122,474 ounces (up 107%)

Newmont (6 months): Equity gold production rose 13 percent to 2.2 million equity ounces from 1.9 million ounces over the same period.

MK GOLD: The Company's share of gold production was 14,283 ounces for the first half of 2000 compared to 10,424 ounces for the first half of 1999.
