This makes him a useful contributor. You post what the Street should think if it were rational. That lets us project the best possible outcome. I remember Michael Gianturco warning against trying to outsmart the Market. ["The Market that beats the Market" chapter 19]. He advocates to slightly outsmart the Market and draws a parallel to very smart advertising professionals designing very stupid commercials that hit a chord with the target audience. But I digress.
