>>I seem to be losing money in a most dramatic fashion:-)<<

I guess we are both in fashion along with a whole lot of thread viewer/investors.

>> Why are these stocks off 60%/<< No reporter could make a living reporting just good news. Several papers have tried and they have all failed. No one wants to hear how Johnny walked to school safely. They would much rather hear how he axed his grandmother as she was knitting him a sweater by the fire.

In one respect this is just like the oil field services sector about two years ago. No matter how these companies retrenched themselves to be profitable, with low oil prices people refused to buy the stocks.

Posters on these sites keep looking for the holy grail. A co-relationship between stock prices and some unit of reference (BTB, peak to trough, shipments, historical high and low prices, etc. I got news for them...THERE IS NO HOLY GRAIL. When investors hate a sector they hate with a passion for a prolonged period of time. Eventually the hate runs out and the buying returns.

Have a good bike trip.

Regards, Jerome
