Have to tick off your points one at a time. What a drag.

Yes, there are 3 pages of P3 933s on pricewatch (congratulations to Intel!). But there are 4 pages of 1GHZ Athlons + 1 page of 1GHZ Thunderbirds on pricewatch.

I'm more interested in the 933s on IBM's Dell's, Compaq's, etc. web sites than I am in Pricewatch listings.

For Q4, it looks like Duron will be 700 to 900MHZ at $55 to $125. Thunderbird will be 1GHZ to 1.4GHZ at $150 to something like $700.

Can we leave the vaporware out of the discussion?

Is Intel happy with those prices / speedpoints for Q4? By that time INTC will also be facing UltraSparc III in the server space as well as Mustangs and Thunderbirds on AMD, Ali, SiS, and VIA DDR motherboards plus multiprocessor AMD systems.

Mustang...more vaporware. Only 1 MB of cache (maybe) anyway. Xeon does 2. US3 is for the high end server space. Intel isn't there yet. Itanium will be mid-range.

We've already seen 3 months into Intel's future with the 62 degree junction 1.13 production samples and so far, well, not so good. Is there a miracle waiting in the wings?

PIII is being stretched. We know that.

The rest of your post is futures. Be patient. Anyway, I heard that Willy is as fast as cool Papa Bell was; so fast he could turn the lights out and get into bed before it got dark.
