Yesterday afternoon and earlier this morning, "Joe Copia" posted claims that FinancialWeb.com, "SherryBennett", and I have some type of an "agenda" with regard to posts on the FDKP forum on Raging Bull. He presents the following evidence to suppport this claim:
"Look at these coincidences:
1) Bob Davis writes a negative article on SBID.
2) Sherrie joins RB on July 10th and her first post is as a basher on the SBID thread roughly coinciding with Bob's article.
3) Bob's writes another negative article on FDKP and lo and behold, Sherrie swaps threads and starts a rampage of bashes on the FDKP thread.
It seems quite clear-cut to me there is an agenda."
However, a more realistic review of the evidence presented by Joe Copia shows some problems with this claim:
"Sherrie" joined Raging Bull on July 10th and made her first post on the SBID forum on July 14th - it is post# 147 and it is positive! Over the next few days, "Sherrie" seems to have gotten tired of some of Joe Copia's comments about SBID, and on July 17th she "switched sides" and began criticising the stock,in post# 530. This can be confirmed if you "click on sherrie's name and looked at her porfile."
Now, I wrote the first of my two articles about SBID on 7/18/00, and the second on 7/21/00, well after "Sherrie" had already begin her running commentary on the stock. This can be confirmed by visiting www.financialweb.com
On July 22nd, "Sherrie" switched her attentions to FDKP, starting with post #2059. However, I did not publish my report about FDKP until July 27th. And, until now, I have not made any posts on Raging Bull since July 28th!
Net-net, There is no correlation in any of this. And, there is no common "agenda" here. In addition, I do not know a "SherryBennett" and she is not on the TNL mailing list.
