Jim, >No, I was hoping one of you guys could shed some light on it...the SMP thing that is.All I can say is that it isn't easy. <G> Several other companies have had SMP in their systems for several years, besides Intel: Sun, the mainframe makers, My only guess is that AMD felt they had their hands full with single processor desktop designs and rollouts over the past year. If Compaq and Gateway show up with it (not so much Gateway IMO, because they have no other server lineup to bind with it) whole new ball game possible, at least in the low end, web server type apps.
