Absolutely NO. We don't want misinformation.

The same core network nodes which are used for GSM will be used forWCDMA.

Absolutely false statement. WCDMA has its own data capability through its own base station. It doesn't need any help(distraction) from GPRS networks. Repeat with me Raymond, WCDMA will do IP directly, it doesn't need a detour. In the mean time it is true that WCDMA will utilize the existing GSM land side networks for voice service.

So the SGSN,GGSN:s,MSC,HLR and the rest of the node will not be replaced

I never said they will be replaced, they are just useless to the WCDMA mode(I'm talking about SGSM and GGSN).

I think one of the most spreaded misinfo is that the so-called GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA upgrade path is a natural upgrade path. It is NOT. Especially on the packet data side. GPRS and EDGE are just an effort in adding data capability on to GSM networks before WCDMA is available.

Another thing Japan Telecom and Docomo will go in service in 2001.A lot of europeans

Thanks for reminding, tell me how that network gonna route its data via your SGSN, GPRS networks then connect to Internet via GGSN.

A lot of europeans will go in service the first half of 2002.
