Perhaps it's time to link a hypothetical Neuroscience portfolio to this thread. I'll take suggestions for inclusion although empirical data must be presented indicating the candidate drugs/devices etc. have real prospects for achieving their stated claims.

This is a tricky undertaking. The outlook for the Neuro sector is indeed rosy but only on a long term basis. Thus, contrary to the goals and claims of other portfolios, returns here may be extremely meager in the short to intermediate term. I state this out front so a discussion can truly investigate individual prospects

I request a calm and dignified presentation of ideas. I'll cast extreme doubt on claims for short term gains based on suggestions of significant advances in the treatment of major neurological pathologies (or claims for application of an existing drug towards a lucrative alternative market based on ill-conceived logic - in short, the recent Cephalon fiasco). I'll try to set up a portfolio myself in the absence of input; this produces undeniable bias by the moderator of a thread so I'll hold off for a while.

Still, I would appreciate learning about advances at any level - and perhaps finding a nascent behemoth - just to toss around some novel ideas. Let's just try to keep calm when our favorite Lilliputian Neurotech comes under intense scrutiny.
