ROTARY POWER INTERNATIONAL INC - Albert R. Dowden Joins Advisory Board

New York, New York, Aug. 03, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- The Board of Directors of Rotary Power International, Inc. ("RPI"), is pleased to announce that Mr. Albert R. Dowden has been appointed to the newly created Advisory Board of RPI and its wholly-owned Subsidiary, Pegasus Technologies Incorporated effective Monday, July 31, 2000.

Mr. Dowden retired in 1998 after a 24-year career with Volvo Group North America, Inc. and Volvo Cars of North America, Inc. Mr. Dowden joined Volvo as Corporate Secretary in 1974 and was promoted to increasingly senior positions until 1991 when he was appointed President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Volvo Group North America and Senior Vice President of Swedish parent company AB Volvo. Since retiring, Mr. Dowden continues to be a orporate Director, currently of the Corltland Fund, DHJ Media, Inc., each of which he serves as Chairman and Magellan Insurance Company. As well, Mr. Dowden's charitable
endeavors currently include serving as Chairman of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in New York and as Director of The American Scandinavian Foundation and the American Institute for Public Service.

Mr. Dowden is a graduate of Middlebury College (B.A.) and New York University School of Law (J.D.). He was admitted to The Bar of the State of New York, and began his career as an attorney with a major international law firm, Rogers &
Wells (1967-1974), (now Clifford Chance, Rogers & Wells).

During his stay at Rogers & Wells his career emphasized on corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions including negotiating and drafting of contracts. He also handled litigation, government lobbying and he gained experience in regulatory matters.

Mr. Virgil E. Wenger, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RPI is pleased to have Mr. Dowden join the Advisory Board bringing his experience in industry and government relations and corporate and business development. Mr. Wenger stated, "We are continuing to implement the strategy to build an Advisory Board comprised of independent members who have demonstrated a high level of ethics, credibility and experience."
