You get what you pay for.

I agree. I use Schwab. They executed the spin-off flawlessly with my PALM shares appearing in my account the morning of the 28th. They computed my PALM holdings from the eight buys I have made and sold the single fractional share. The COMSV and PALMV situation was handled correctly too.

(I must say though that Merril Lynch, my "full service" brokerage account where my Employee's Stock Purchase Plan is handled, has been a royal pain more than once. For example, they charged me $250 to liquidate 450 shares two weeks ago as an a OTC trade!)
