Dear JDN: **42** pounds?!? I have never even seen a lobster that large. It should have gone to a museum.

The largest lobster I have ever cooked was just under 9 pounds. It was an impulse buy this past May. I had to take the claws outside and smash them with a hammer to crack them open.

Some of the meat is still in my freezer.
