Hello Bill. Back from a cpl of days away, I read all your posts just now.

Yes. Those analysts are doing a fine job on our techs/telecoms. Nokia had record earnings but mentioned that their revenue would come in a cpl of percentage points lower next qtr due to a delay in 2 new products. Well, those cpl of percentage points knocked the stock down about 25%. That's what I call smarts. And yes. QCOM is on the hit list again also. But I did read an article in Business Week and it calls QCOM not dead yet, or something like that.

Yes. A lot of analysts are downgrading our techs as if those were too hot to touch. I heard that the SEC wants to implement a procedure whereas all investors alike would get company news at the same time analysts do. All company news would be put on over the internet, on business channels etc. That would put analysts almost on the same footing than the rest of us. Maybe that's what is making them soooo angry. Their advantage over individual investors would diminish. Maybe their goal is now to drive us out of the market before all this happens so they have the playing field to themselves again. Just a thought. gg. And maybe it's just the commission game. Brokerages are having stellar performances. I guess we know why. Rotation, rotation. In and out.

BTW. Dan Niles finally came out and mentioned that the Semis/PC's will do great in the second half of this year. Hopefully he will be right.

A barrel of oil has gone back up over the last cpl of days.
Our GVT will have to come up with some kind of an energy policy so we will not be at the mercy of foreign oil. Some drilling and exploration, along with whatever, will have to be done here. There is no way that we can be so dependent forever if our economy wants to survive. This back and forth with those oil prices is for the birds. I wrote about this Republican Senator mentioning the other week that we will have to do something to be more self efficient. He said oil is that high because of demand and supply and the extra burden of producing mandated cleaner gasoline. And the supply was now too low.
And now we hear this week that everybody is stunned that the new numbers coming out shows that the oil supply has dropped. Duh.

Oh. About this Doctor suing for his brain cancer. He is now following into lawyers footsteps. I don't have to be a neurologist to think that cell phones 'could be' a little more dangerous than reg. phones. We have all heard about those power fields. But to put the blame of his brain cancer on cell phones at this time. I don't know. I am sure this Doctor has seen patients with brain cancer that do not own cell phones. Oh, well. Again. There is always something. People die from all kinds of things out in Nature world. I guess one of these days we will find a way to sue GOD or NATURE because they did not specifically warn us of dangers lurking out there. Wildfires, lightning, floods, earthquakes, you name it.

New progress will bring some dangers with it. So if you too worried, you'd better not use it until you are thoroughly convinced it's harmless or until you are told it's absolutely safe.

Globex looks alright at the moment. Let's hope it holds so we can see a little more upside tomorrow.

More tomorrow.

Sonny
