NorthPoint Canada Designates Efficient as CPE Provider

(Nasdaq: EFNT), a leading worldwide provider of digital subscriber line (DSL) customer premises equipment (CPE) for the broadband access market, today announced its selection as a CPE provider for NorthPoint Canada, a Canadian broadband services company and the joint venture of NorthPoint Communications (Nasdaq: NPNT) and Call-Net Enterprises Inc. (Nasdaq: CNEBF).

NorthPoint Canada is currently offering high-performance business-class symmetric DSL (SDSL) services to small and medium businesses at speeds up to 25 times faster than traditional dial-up modems, and plans to begin rolling out its ADSL platform before year-end.
