Nice move - broadens the top management and dilutes the power and influence in the CEO's hands while freeing him up to do what he does best - strategic planning and the implementation of partnerships. It is slightly curious that having beefed up the consulting division with the appointment of a new head a few months ago, they now slot that under VP Field Operations. On the whole I think it better to co-ordinate sales and consulting.

It is also good to see that part of the new COO job- description is to take care of investor interests.

Now what they need is a figurehead to the PR drive. While no PR can succeed unless the CEO is a competent leader - and he is - and unless the product and strategy is sound - which it is - NETP still needs a super salesman to add some sizzle to the steak.

The CEO could give up one of his titles - say President or Chairman to such a figurehead, or could create a Deputy Chairman or Senior VP . Larsen is a good spokeman but he has confined himself to talking to customers, rather than the investment markets, as a whole. His style is more didactic - as one explaining personalization, privacy issues and NETP products to potential users.
