Just noticed that Rio Tinto is pretty well confirmed as having won the battle for North in Australia, since DeBeers sister company Anglo American withdrew it's competing bid and gave up. It's nice to know that the DeBeers magic and arrogance is not invincible, contrary to Kaisers sermon from the bottom. One down and two to go...Ashton and WSP My money's still on Rio Tinto. Cheers everyone Trev Edit. I still have to wonder if the whole North and Ashton caper from the SAf group was not just a subterfuge to distract Rio Tinto while DeBeers was attempting to steal the Canadian Teasure at Snap Lake.
