Are we seeing Socket A TBirds from major OEMs yet? I would have thought AMD would provide samples to allow for verification in advance of the release.

This past year has seen a series of major changes in MPU products (processors, chipsets, etc) and there are still more to come. It doesn't surprise me that the transitions are slow as you have to move out the old product and verify the new combinations.

AAPL has this problem even worse due to their less frequent product refreshes which devalue the old products. In response to another's question on how to balance out capital gains to avoid the tax hit -- AAPL bought Jobs a jet with some ARMHY profits and some options, 10M options @ $43.50, split-adjusted.
