I am afraid Mr. Phillipps can't be truly impartial. He is a trial lawyer. I would imagine the greatest fear of every trial lawyer would be electing people who are for more reasonable and fair laws and rules relating to litigation. I know in Florida tort reform brings out every trial lawyer with their checkbook for the opponents of tort reform. And, they have plenty of money because filing suits has been very lucrative at 33 to 40% or more of the settlement or award. On the class action suits we see filed relating to stocks that tank I don't believe the plaintiffs really see much money even if they prevail or settle. The lions share goes to the attorneys.
