It's just another way for the big boys to do what they do now. If you understand how things work right now, it should not have much of an effect on your trading.

Right now, anybody that trades on an ECN can back away from a firm bid or offer. The market makers can't legally do that. All they are doing is trying to rig the show so the market makers can scrape more from people that don't know how to trade. I personally think it's just their "adjustment" in reply to the change from fractions to decimals. They can't make the ECNs go away, so they have to rig the show so they can at least make the same money they make now.

The man with the most money makes the rules.
