Go to:Start/run/type winipcfg/enter.Check pull down menu for IP address.If ok then you may have to enable DHCP in ethernet properties Wins configuration tab,DNS needs to be disabled in DNS configuration tab,use windows logon and IP address tab,obtain address automatically.
