Scarecrow, thank you for a well thought out response. It amazes me how someone can say the government needs to take more of the workers money so the worker doesn't waste it and inflate the economy. Democrats are socialists. However, that isn't true when they are padding their own pockets. Look at what Gore contributes from his multi hundred thousand dollar income. Maybe 1000. in a whole year. The man espousing the democratic position of more taxes probably has a tax code neatly accomodating he and his fellow trial lawyers. The one thing for sure, if Nader or Gore doesn't win you will hear a lot of trial lawyers crying as they see their gravy train pulling away from the station. There are so many suits for inane things. It is a giant increase on the cost of doing business and is passed right through to you and me, the consumer. We are the ones who ultimately pay the trial lawyers through higher prices at the pump. I don't defend cigarettes and wouldn't smoke one but watch them go up in price big time to pay the lawyers and a part of it to the plaintiffs.
