Hi blake paterson; Yep, DDR doubles next year. It started at 100MHz (200MHz bit rates), and goes to 200MHz (400MHz bit rates) early next year. Then it hits 266MHz with 533MHz bit rates later next year.

The 400MHz bit rate parts are already sampling, and graphics cards have been put in the hands of reviewers running at that rate.

That's a double.

Compare to RDRAM's sorry 33% improvement from 400MHz (800MHz bit rate) to 533MHz (1.06GHz bit rate) over the same time frame.
