How on earth do you expect OEM's to unload all of the 650Mhz Pentium III's if Duron's are on the shelves???

Duron's are being shipped to OEM's and they are sitting on them for now!! The fact that these are not immediately available does not bother me in the least. If anything it encourages me more. Why would any competitive company continually receive a product that they are not packaging and selling???

Something smells bad about the infrastructure, honestly.

Think about it from the OEM's point of view. The have chips that cost at least $100 less than the equal Mhz Pentium. Sell them at the same price and it adds valuable profit to the already razor thin margins.

If they had the complete systems, they would be selling them left and right.

Am I missing something?
