The storage market is expanding so fast, this battle will go on for years. Both could win. It could turn into a royalty game.

EMC is the "IBM of the storage market". They could come up with their own new technologies to fight off NTAP. They could reinvent themselves into a software company with products that manage all flavors of storage systems. They could become a services company.

I would own both for a while. They will both grow rapidly, despite the battle.
