Well I think if you had an 8 year old boy THEY might like it. Of course we had many talks with our son during and after the movie about the nature of real bats, and how beneficial they are, yada yada yada. The good news about Bats is that it was so bad and so poorly received it won't spark the kind of hysteria Jaws did. I don't know if you remember- but after the movie came out you had people killing all sharks. There was sort of a mass shark hysteria. It was very sad. My husband was afraid, before the movie came out and we knew how bad it was, that Bats might spark the same kind of hysteria about real bats- which as you may know are extremely important pollinaters and insect eaters.
