Voice recognition is too complex, still, and not yet ready for primetime.

hi stan,
i follow voice pretty closely.
i am pretty much convinced voice is the next killer app.

consider this:
general motors has plans to rapidly expand the on star program to the entire vehicle line...they use gmgc voice software...ibm has a new deal with gmgc also.

qcom and ford are forming a new company to place voice activated, wireless internet access in ford products....i believe the press release forecast 1 million ford vehicles the first year...rising to 5 million by 2005. not sure yet which software will be used for this.

several articles indicate PDAs are moving to voice activation.

physicians' offices and hospitals are moving to voice.

how often do you make a phone call and talk to a computer? compare that to a year or two ago.

the orient is apparently moving to voice faster than the west...probably due to the alphabet complexities.

LHSP is the biggest player right now...their growth rate is around 55% and accelerating...they issued a bold and strong rebuttal to the WSJ article today before the open. later this morning, the ceo went on cnbc and continued to rebut personally.
they have a cc tonite at 5 EST at 888 396-9929 x 0808.

if the WSJ reporter is correct, lawsuits will probably follow and lhsp will be hurt more.
if the ceo is correct, today's trading action is totally unjustified and a buying opp imo.
