There is the Wireless Application Protocol, which displays text and limited graphical elements of a Web application on a cell phone -- and it is not a great tool when all is said and done. Variations on the Extensible Markup Language (XML) will allow parsing of data into a cell-phone interface, but that isn't going to provide a consistent user experience. Now, with the addition of the Bluetooth short-distance wireless technology, which Palm has LICENSED, the handheld platform looks poised to communicate with almost all the devices you might use today."
