Just wanted to step up to the plate here and say that I think your recent musings on the shortcomings of S3's former CFO is ridiculous.

S3 is failing because they have a bad business strategy - which can entirely be lumped at KP's door. They've continued for over 18 months to throw away money on thier graphics business. The only things going for S3 is its stake in UMC and its Rio player. Unfortunately, good assets can easily be wasted by a poor business model. The best thing that could happen would be for S3 to negotiate the sale of its entire UMC stake and distribute the proceeds to shareholders.

Consider how S3 is going to generate revenues in the future before answering, please.
