1. I expect Dell to do what they guided for this quarter which is .21/share. I expect them to reiterate their forward 30% growth for 3Q and 4Q. I don't expect Kumar to back off on his prediction that Dell will not be successful and will disappoint going forward. I expect Dell to be at .91-.92 for the year. As for price action on Friday, I think Kumar's outlook is already priced into Dell at 40-41. I think that Dell will be generally convincing in their conference call. Sorry for the lack of Friday's price WAG, it is beyond my guessing ability.

2. My long term view on Dell for earnings growth, +2 years, is that the analysts' consensus numbers will be met. I won't give a stock price for that either.

In regards to my general stock market experience, it is without a doubt below average. I invest in Dell because I recognize them as business and manufacturing process experts and that they believe in this as a dominant business strength, as I do.

There are more opportunities to make money over time than just Dell, my problem is picking them with enough certainty that I don't get shaken out of the tree by all the cannon fire.
