With the price under $12.50, I presume that they had to redeem the convertible preferred, and thus have no new source of funds. If this is correct, then won't they run out of cash this quarter or next quarter? Where will the money be coming from?

As a suggestion for a source of cash, they could buy PROG, a software reseller. They currently have about $15 million in cash (having just sold their money losing European operation) and a market cap of just $17 million, as well as a 30% stake in PCWare a European software distributor. Their domestic operations are profitable and have sales of about $21 million a quarter.
