The average person has no idea of what REALLY FRESH is, & how it effects the texture & taste as they have never had any.

This is so true (at least of americans). We have genetically manipulated all flavor out of our food to enhance yield and resistance characteristics. It is very sad. I was just having a conversation with my wife about this. I wouldn't be surprised if food was actually less nutritious pound for pound than it used to be.
