Paul and thread. Re: PC demand. This is from today's wholesale report.

U.S. June Wholesale Sales Rise 1.4%; Inventories Up (Update1)

"Some companies facing strong consumer demand are having trouble keeping goods in stock. Ingram Micro Inc., the world's biggest computer distributor, said inventories fell 26 percent in the first half of this year and sales rose 12 percent to $15.09 billion as it struggled to keep up with demand for laptops and personal computers.

``We could sell more product if we could get it from the vendors and manufacturers,'' said Terry Tysseland, senior vice president of operations and product management at Ingram Micro. ``Demand has been strong'' and ``a personal guess would be that it is increasing.''
