two major news items on SV today: -
1. Tom Craig announced that he will be leaving his post as Chief Investment Officer in the fall. An executive committe made up of the top JANUS names is already in place to take up his functions: dailynews.yahoo.com
2. In today's WSJ, there is a major story talking about the underperformance of Janus funds YTD (year to date).
Stilwell is an interesting situation, in that JANUS is 85% of the assets and 100% of the attraction in SV. JANUS wanted KSU to spin off JANUS by itself, not encumbered with the other KSU financial assets.
I certainly would not write SV off at this point, in fact, i wouldn't be surprised to see some form of takeover interest starting. hmmm.
Please post your thoughts on this stock. thanks. larry
