Aren't conspiracy theories fun?

While I'll concede that some psychiatric drugs, like Ritalin and anti-depressants are over prescribed, the reality is that for most mental and emotional disorders medication is the only thing that has been shown to have significant success.

The reality is that these medications work where nothing else (such as counseling) does. The reality is that, as we come to understand the human brain, there is a growing body of evidence that people with psychiatric diseases do in fact have abnormal brains. Genetic studies show evidence of genetic components. Scans of the brain show abnormal functioning. And the simple fact that the drugs themselves work to normalize behavior is itself evidence that the problems lie within the brain.

Where is it you think behavior, emotions and intellect come from, if not the brain?
