I have seen Ritalin and other drugs fail every time in the case of my nephew who is diagnosed with ADHD.

The question about the abnormal brain then becomes "what is the cause and what is the effect?" Did the abnormal brain cause the aberrant behavior or did the repeated outside influence that caused the aberrant behavior cause the abnormal brain. If you look at the brain as a little electro-chemical machine that is constantly put in abusive situations that release the chemicals that cause anger, will that constant exposure to these chemicals cause the brain to change?

What I am trying to say is, just because you have two data points; aberrant behavior and abnormal brain development or chemistry, does not mean that you have identified the causal relationship.
