dybdahl, I was skeptical about the applications of voice technology but for a number of reasons (well mostly, my investment in Nuance) I decided to check it out. It turns out a whole bunch of b2b emerging players are enabling voice technology in their apps to extend this concept of a "virtual warehouse". I'm not quite sure how msft's VR technologies are packaged - to me it seems wrong to put something in office, that is not where the opportunities are. IVR seems more appropriate for imbedded devices. But if msft did this right they could break into the enterprise... this is an area where Sun has nothing.
