I have four nephews. All 4 were diagnosed with ADD. The older 2 were put on ritalin 35 years ago. The younger 2 were not. Of the older 2, the oldest is an alcoholic, the next one is a drug addict and alcoholic whose life is in ruins because of his addictions. Both of them were alcoholics as teenagers. Both of their parents are tall. Their 2 younger brothers are 6'2" and 6'5". The 2 older ones are 6' and 5'11". The 2 younger ones do not have either drug or alcohol problems. The 2 older ones blame ritalin for the problems that they have. Their entire childhood was controlled with some form of drugs to keep them in line. Ritalin to calm them down. Coffee to give them energy. (Eight-year-olds drinking coffee in the morning to wake up.) They were taught to take pills and liquid drugs to maintain their life.
