<effect of DDR on system performance>
If you have in mind the BAPCO Sysmark-2000,
the stalls due to memory walks are about 20%
at 1GHz (Athlon with 100/200FSB and SDRAM PC-100).

If the system will use DDR-200, there will be
about zero performance improvements.

If AMD manages to make FSB to work at 133/266,
the improvement may be up to 6-7% at 1GHz,
but it does not matter whether DDR or SDRAM.

If you mean other applications like Spec2000,
the story may be different.
