And the simple fact that the drugs themselves work to normalize behavior is itself evidence that the problems lie within the brain.

Many people believe the way you do, Allen.

Sorry, but I am not one of them.

You may have fallen for the "medical theory" that we are all little pieces of steak. I personally don't subscribe to that theory. I don't believe that "fact". Actually, I think it's a subversive plot to make mammals think they are nothing.

You may consider yourself to be a meat puppet, but I don't. I actually think that theory is the last bastion of the community that wants to drug every human being on your planet. Yeah, it's a conspiracy theory, but no, it's not fun.

On my planet, we believe we are all children of the Supreme Being. I hesitate to use the phrase because on your planet, there is a great debate going on about it right now. I say "believe" because we have a constitution similar to one on your planet, where a reptile is allowed to have his own beliefs. It's a Star Trek Prime Directive kinda deal. <G>

Everyone on my planet is what you call "psychic". Extrapolate what you wish about that statement.

If you believe that once you die, you rot in the ground, then the brain thing makes sense. I don't believe that.

But, I digress.

That's not germane to the overall question. Your assertion that psychotropic drugs "work" where "nothing else does" is, in my humble opinion, just that...an assertion. And it is forwarded by mammals who are making money off the sale of drugs, right now, today.

If I give a three year old kid an overdose of refined sugar every day, do you think it might have an effect on his behavior? What about giving him nothing but trans-fatty acids and sugar? How about sugar, trans-fatty acids, and bovine hormones? Do you think that a chemical imbalance might occur in the kid's brain? If I give that kid some dope, that "proves" that the dope "works", and the kid is just a slice of prime rib?

Hmmm. The Scientific Method.

Would the solution to that chemical imbalance be a psychotropic drug? Do you have children that take drugs?

Do you, by any chance, prescribe psychotropic drugs for people yourself?

What, pray tell, is your definition of "normalized behavior"?

One single example will suffice.
