Thanks for the article.

That article misses a point - Intel STOPPED FAB 16 in its tracks in late 1997 - when the Far East financial crisis hit - and didn't start another new fab until year 2000 (Fab 18 was already under construction).

The net result is the same - Intel is between a rock and a hard place with the risk of adding new manufacturing capacity when, down the road, that capacity may become a burden rather than a necessity.

1. You can't win on Wall Street - you can only beak even.

2. You can only break even at Absolute Zero.

3. You can't reach Absolute Zero.
