The reason drug stocks fell today was because of a court ruling in the matter of Prozac visa/vie Barr Labs v ELI Lilly. The issue was wether the tactics ELI Lilly was using would thus defer Barr from introducing a generic form of the subject drug. The courts ruled in Barrs favor. The courts ruled in the Generic companies favor. There was a mesage sent that certain delaying tactics used by drug manufacturers to delay the onset of generic equivalents will not prevail. This is a victory for companies engaged in the production ofgeneric drugs.

So why did DRMD drop today? Beats me.... I could understand if the courts ruled in ELI's favor.
