Response from Tony concerning rumors of loss of sales people....

It's true that Net Perceptions has had some turnover in its sales force; this is not unusual. To varying degrees, this is a natural phenomenon for all high-tech companies. In our case, our more recent turnover is attributable, in part, to a re-alignment of our direct sales force to focus
on large, enterprise-wide transactions, and at the same time to concentrate on building a high performance team. We have recently recruited a number of highly talented, seasoned veterans to supplement our direct and indirect
internal sales force. At year-end 1999, we had a total of 75 direct and indirect sales employees at Net Perceptions. As of June 30, 2000 we had approximately 81 direct and indirect sales employees. This increase in the inside sales force, when coupled with our continued success at adding distribution "partners" (e.g. Interrelate and Xchange, Inc.), should pave the way for our future product sales and distribution needs.
