Hi jim kelley; Re Rambus fantasy of VIA delay of DDR to 2H01.

The chipset will eventually be used for all market segments, but that is not where it is first directed towards:

The first VIA HDIT chipset is targeted for sampling early in the first half of 2001, and will be implemented for high-end desktop, workstation, and server applications that support leading processors from both Intel and AMD.

But this isn't my main point. You said that DDR was being delayed until 2H01 (samples in 1H01). You came to this conclusion on the basis of a VIA press release that described their next generation HDIT architecture. You were just plain wrong about this, and when the VIA samples hit the press I will rub your nose in it again. (I'm looking forward to it, too!)
